Going through all of my old images for a project and found this shoot--one of my faves! Beautiful @Yvette ettecorinne had just moved to LA from Texas. I spotted her in Grand Central Market and asked her if she modeled. As soon as I saw her, I wanted to shoot with her! My amazing friend and super talented HMU @rachgal1213 joined me in this collab. Yvette had done a little modeling, but I believe this was her first (or second) shoot here. She didn't know me and Rachel from Adam. She met us at my first studio in DTLA--which was an amazing space, but the building was quite decrepit. I realized that it probably looked sus AF, but she did it! I know you all likely know that I work with people, but how many of you know that I also shoot gardens! For the past 3 years, I've been working with one of my best friends/regular clients shooting her AMAZING permaculture garden designs: Jessica Viola @violagardens . She is SO so talented and I am super fortunate to get to go hang out with beautiful plants and gardens doing what I love. It's been really amazing to watch her *literally* grow this business (and her life!) and to see how everything is blossoming for her, just like her gardens. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Jessica and I come together on creative direction: not only do I document the garden design, but we also aim for beautiful, artistic photos. We have this overall direction and then she lets me do my thing--I get so much in the zone when communing with her plants. I LOVE it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've been wanting to share these and wasn't sure where I'd fit them in with my people shots--but I realized that the images of plants and people all come together perfectly.
